San Fernando under Enhanced Community Quarantine

On March 16, 2020, President Duterte Announced that the entire Luzon Island will be put under Enhanced Community Quarantine, saying “We are in the fight of our lives”.

Included among the many towns enforcing enhanced community quarantine, San Fernando has immediately begun enforcement of the new procedures, with strict checkpoints, and all authorities vigilant in preparation and prevention of the further spread of COVID-19.

Citizens are urged to stay at home, stay calm, boost their immune systems, keep clean, maintain proper hand washing methods, and report any newcomers or visitors that have come from areas with confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Frontliners and public officials are working round-the-clock to supervise and enforce the stringent measures in place for public health and safety.

The Philippine Red Cross, in partnership with Red Ribbon, provided food supplies to the local enforcement and front liners who are continuously working to protect the citizens of San Fernando.
